Creating Our Own Luck
March 1, 2026
How does one become lucky? Is it something you are born with or is it as simple as finding a 4 leaf clover and never breaking a mirror? Sure some of us are simply unlucky while others have everything go their way. Perhaps there is something we can do that is practical and doesn’t require a magnifying class. In fact, I am confident that we can after listening to the book ‘The Mastery of Good Luck’ by Mitch Horowitz.
Mitch does a wonderful job of outlining simple principles (13 to be exact) that can be implemented in anyone’s life as early as today! I highly recommend listening or reading the book to fully grasp the concept. However, in this post we will only cover the first 3, which happen to be my favorite, that I hope you will also enjoy.
1. Luck is Learnable! So even if you aren’t born with it, don’t give up. In time, you can develop a network of causative factors and even identify opportunities that can cultivate luck.
2. Cultivate Chemistry! We are stronger united and whether it’s romantic relationships or professional ones; coming together and working together welcomes in some powerful luck.
3. Get Noticed! If you want to be lucky, get noticed. It’s as simple as that. If you hide from the world you are severely lowering your natural luck meter. Get involved within your community, share your knowledge or join a group that interests you.
Again these are only 3 of the 13 that Mitch outlines. You can most likely find a copy at your local library or on several audio book platforms. Or maybe, just maybe this month will finally be the year that you find the 4 leaf clover and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
